Unlock the secret: How to make your partner squirt

Ever wondered ‘How can I make my partner squirt?’ We’ve all seen it in porn but in real life, it’s not as common as we would think. A Lot of people just assume squirting is just the woman losing control of her bladder during sexual excitement and just straight-up peeing (whilst passing it off as something else) but the truth of it is, it is something else…

Squirting or otherwise known as ‘female ejaculation’ is where a watery fluid is released from the urethra during sex or foreplay under very certain circumstances. Even though this has been proven by big wigs in specs and lab coats, there are still some nay-sayers who believe that squirting is a myth, so listen up class, because here’s a little biology lesson.

What is squirting?

The fluid that is released is not pee. However, we can’t wholeheartedly say that it does not contain traces of pee (because it does come out of the pee hole after all, but don’t be grossed out because it’s just the same as a guy ejaculating through his pee hole?) the larger majority of it is actually made up from uric acid, urea and creatinine (not to be confused with creatine, that stuff that muscle heads love).

This passionate cocktail of bodily fluids is produced in the Skene’s glands also known as the Paraurethral glands, which are located around the lower end of the urethra. The Skene’s glands are surrounded by soft tissue that swells with blood when the glands are stimulated from the inside of the vagina and the body is sexually aroused, this then causes the glands to secrete fluid from openings near the urethra, which builds up and is then released.

But there’s more we need to learn to fully understand the mechanics of squirting.

Can all women squirt?

With squirting becoming a common occurrence in porn, more and more people assume that squirting is proof of the ultimate orgasm and a talent(?) that everyone with a vulva can do, but in reality, the act itself is actually quite rare amongst most women.

In theory, every woman has the anatomy to ejaculate, but not all women can and not all have a super-soaker between their legs that can be triggered with the right care and attention, but on the other hand, many also don’t realise that they can actually squirt either. It’s easy to hold back without even realising, as the urge to squirt feels a lot similar to the urge to pee, so it’s about you and your lover being relaxed, comfortable and in tune with your body.

If you’re not sure whether you (or your partner) can squirt there are a number of techniques you can try out in the bedroom… but put a towel down first eh? just in case.

Tips to make your partner squirt:

  • Have her relax her muscles as climax, this will prevent any fluids from remaining inside.
  • Go faster at the end and add pressure, this can give your partner something to push against.
  • Pull-out, allows the fluids to rush out.
  • Don’t rush, allow your partner to reach climax slowly so the final blow is pleasurable.
  • Try sex toys, these can help provide a constant sensation for them to build to a climax.
