The Store
The store follows the traditional ‘Pulse’ and ‘Cocktails’ lay out being a two department store, the first department you encounter is Cocktails, this has an amazing selection of Lingerie, and erotic novels for you to browse, along with some more naughty novelties, and dressing up outfits, when you venture into Pulse, this is where the adventure really begins, we have toys to cater for all ranges of fetishes, fantasies, or tastes, and a DVD collection to satisfy any taste, or preferences. We aim to create a relaxed shopping environment providing a unique shopping experience to all our customers throughout all our stores. All our staff are ready and willing to help you with any matter you may need assistance with.

I have worked in Scunthorpe for a couple of years now, and drive up and down Brigg road every single day, I have never noticed the Pulse and Cocktails on the other side of the road before, but one day when I was stuck in traffic I noticed it, I was very intrigued by the shop itself and I have been in some adult stores before and I have been very disappointed with the stock, and also the seedy feel when you are looking round them. I decided to check it out on the way back from work.
When I walked through the door, the difference was immediately apparent, the store was quite a decent size, and it was much better lit than any other sex shop I have ever been in, plus the staff, were very friendly, I was greeted with a friendly hello and a welcoming smile which put me at ease immediately. I was able to browse round the shop with ease as everything is very well laid out, and the different sections are sign posted (a bit like in Tesco), the staff were very accommodating and were happy to answer any questions that I had about any of the products, and give their suggestions on what they would personally recommend.
I was extremely happy with the level of service that I received throughout the whole shopping experience, I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of stock that they had and the good size of the store. The variation of products was excellent and I was very happy with every last aspect of my visit, especially my purchase, I will most definitely be coming back here again, and most definitely bringing my partner with me.
I have been into Pulse and Cocktails quite a lot, I often will come in at the very least about 4 times a year, I have become very familiar with the staff, and the layout of the shop. I am always greeted with the same friendly hello as I was the first time I came in, and the service has been extremely consistent on every visit. The shop itself is a very nice size, the variation of products that are stocked is quite large, and the knowledge base of the staff about the products is brilliant!!
This shop is quite similar to the shop that I have also visited in Saxilby, and one of the staff also works there named Katrina, at either shop the level of service you receive from her is exemplary, she is a credit to the company, and to herself.
The DVD section in this shop is very discrete which is good because when you look at adult dvds in other shops, sometimes you feel uncomfortable because it is in the middle of the store or whatever, this is a very discrete section, where you can browse in peace, and this puts me at ease, and I know it will do other people. There are numerous offers on throughout the store, and these are clearly posted in the relevant sections, and if you are missing out on a deal, the staff will point it out to you, just so you don’t lose out on value for money.
The shop is open-plan, so you can clearly see everything that they stock, which I think is very good, and makes it easier to get what you want when you want, plus this makes the shop even lighter which is always an added bonus, it feels more like a department store than a sex shop in Pulse and Cocktails, if you haven’t been before, you are missing out and I would advise you to go there soon
