Directions
The store is located in the town centre on Upper Orwell, which is between Star Lane and St Margaret’s Street. From the former Martin and Newby building head straight along Upper Orwell Street and the store is situated a further150 yards on the left.
Parking
There is ample town centre parking and Cocks Lane Car Park is only 100 Yards past the store on the same side of the road.
The Store
On ground floor of the store is an excellent range of sex toys and a good assortment of games and novelties along with a selection of sexy lingerie, fetish wear, hosiery and uniforms.
The store has a large, separate adult film department on the first floor, which is DVD heaven with over 2,000 titles to choose from and a large selection of erotic novels too!

I have been living in Ipswich for a while, and I am quite a regular at pulse and cocktails, I often go into the store to get more x-rated films to add to my collection. Although the shop is relatively small in size, this has a large private DVD section on the second floor – from what I have been told there are 2000 plus DVDs to select from. The DVD deals are great, and it works out like buying photo’s from boots - the more you buy the cheaper it gets. There is also a scheme where you can exchange the DVDs once you have watched them to get another DVD. Me personally I like to keep the DVDs as I have quite a large collection of adult films and will watch them again.
The staff in the shop are always very friendly, and unlike some sex shops I have been in, in the past this is very light and you don’t feel like you are doing something perverted by looking through the dvds and buying the dvds etc. I have always had a positive experience in Pulse and Cocktails, it is a great store, and the staff are very friendly.

Me and my partner were eating out at the Thai Restaurant Baipo across the road from this shop and that’s when we noticed it, obviously it was too late to go in that night but we made a note to go in one day after.
We finally went a few days ago after putting it off, the reason why we ended up going was because we were persuaded by a friend. I was scared im not going to lie, I didn’t know what the staff would be like or whether I would get really embarrassed. But when we actually went in I was surprised she was lovely turned around and said hello and told us to look around and shout if we needed any help.
The small shop floor was full of different things, some of them looked abit to extreme for us, however it had a good selection of smallish sex toys which is what we were looking for.
I was glad that the dvd section was upstairs, I am not a fan of porn and didn’t want to see it.
The whole shop was great, I am so glad we went in I think our sex life will improve now we have, we both seem to be more comfortable in talking about it now.
