This store adopts the “traditional Pulse and Cocktails layout with a two section store, Cocktails the soft novelties and clothing section, and Pulse the Toys and dvd section, this is a large store, with very discrete parking.

This shops location is ideal, its very discreet which is perfect for me as I live locally and know a lot of people from round Blaydon and would not like them to know my private business.
Set out very nice, big 2 sided store one has all the novelties and clothing which is what you come to first and the second side is full of the more adult stuff like your sex toys and DVD’s. Personally I think this is the best layout as people who don’t want to see all the adult stuff don’t need to, they can happily browse the clothing side without feeling embarrassed.
I have been in many times and each time is the same, staff are really friendly and will do anything to help you, its not like a sex shop if you ask me I just feel the same walking round Pulse and Cocktails as I do walking round Morrison’s.

I have my car MOT’D at the same place every year, it just so happens that this place is next to Pulse and Cocktails so every year I treat myself to a new rabbit. Its just like any other department store like Debhanems or House of Frasier, the layout is easy to follow as things are well sorted out.
The staff are ever so friendly and every year I go in and ask what the latest and best rabbit they have in stock, whoever is working talks me through their newest products, shows me how some of them work out of the packaging so you know what your buying which I think is a great idea. She also told me which one she would recommend which makes it a bit more personal as you know its going to be good if the person who works their says its good. So not surprisingly I bought that one, infact I ended up getting another toy as they had an offer of buy one sex toy and get another half price, that’s just a deal that I couldn’t refuse.
Great service as always and im looking forward to my cars next MOT so I can go shopping again!

Me and my wife drive down from Newcastle about twice a year as it’s the nearest one too us. Its well stocked and we never have a problem in getting the things we want. Its fair to say that when we go down we always spend a lot of money, theres just too much stuff to chose from and we end up going a bit mad.
They make it harder for us when they have such good deals on, the lube one they have on at the minute is a good one, buy 2 get one free - you can never have enough lubricant and there flavoured which makes it even better.
On our last visit one of the members of staff recognised us and came over straight away which was a nice touch. She showed us some of the products she thought we might be in to that they had just had brought in, there were some nice stuff.
Yes we spent a lot of money, but if you don’t have much to spend there’s still stuff for you its only because we cant help ourselves when it comes to sex toys!
Chief Hen
A group of friends and I were on our best friend’s hen do recently, and we on the way to Newcastle at Pulse and Cocktails Gateshead, we went in to get some novelty items for our big night out in Newcastle and as chief hen it was my responsibility that things were ran as smoothly as possible.
We arrived at the shop, the location was very discrete, and this was something that wasn’t imperative for me, but is always a bonus. We got into the shop, and were greeted with a friendly hello, and we were asked if we were looking for anything in particular. We explained what we were here for and Caroline was very helpful, she showed us where all the novelty stuff was, and when we were in there, we also decided to have a look at the collection of toys, just to get her a little present too. When we went into pulse we were very giggly at some of the things that we saw, but the staff said they were used to it.
We bought her a nice little surprise, and she doesn’t know anything about this visit, that is until we spring it on her when we are getting ready to go out! Brilliant shop, great location and I was really impressed with the customer service and the shop as a whole. Brilliant!
